Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology Amethi admissions are offered to B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D programmes. RGIPT admission to diploma courses is done through PAT scores. While admission to B.Tech and Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) programme is based on JEE Advanced. 

RGIPT Amethi M.Tech admission is done through candidate’s performance in GATE. Whereas, RGIPT Amethi MBA admission is done based on the candidate's valid scores in CAT/CMAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT or written test followed by an interview conducted by RGIPT Amethi. RGIPT Amethi admission to Ph.D programme is done on the basis of the candidate's performance in written tests followed by an interview conducted by RGIPT. However, the seat intake for the courses offered by the college varies from one course to another.

To apply for RGIPT admissions students have to login to the students portal of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology and login using their registration id and password. After logging in, the students can get all the details regarding RGIPT admissions and fill the application form.

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Amethi provides admission to 15 undergraduate programmes. RGIPT Amethi courses at the UG level include B.Tech and Integrated Dual Degree. For RGIPT Amethi B.Tech admissions, candidates need to secure a valid score in JEE Advanced.

RGIPT Amethi UG Seat Intake and Eligibility Criteria

• Meet the eligibility criteria for admission to undergraduate courses. 
• Candidates have to clear JEE Advanced and obtain a valid rank for RGIPT Amethi UG admission for B.Tech courses.
• Next, students must register with JoSAA to participate in counselling.

RGIPT Amethi PG Seat Intake and Eligibility Criteria

• For RGIPT Amethi M.Tech admission, candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria.
• Next, candidates have to appear and secure a valid score in GATE.
• Then, the GATE result is declared and candidates are required to meet the RGIPT Amethi M.Tech cutoff.
• The GATE counselling and admission process for RGIPT Amethi M.Tech is done by COAP.
• Selection for admission to M.Tech is based on the candidates' GATE score or written test or interview or on the basis of any combination of these as declared by the individual department.
• Further, final admission is confirmed after the document verification and RGIPT Amethi M.Tech course fee payment.

• Candidates are required to fulfil the eligibility criteria for RGIPT Amethi MBA  admission.
• Candidates should apply and appear for the CAT/CMAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT exam and qualify it.
• Candidates must submit the application form on the official website of RGIPT Amethi.
• Candidates who qualify the entrance exam have to appear for a personal interview conducted by the institute.
• It must be noted that 65% weightage is given to qualifying exams, 20% weightage is given to academic performance, 5% weightage is given to work experience and 10% to the personal interview.
• The selection of candidates is based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying exam, academic performance, work experience and personal interview.
• Later, shortlisted candidates must get their documents verified and pay the course fees.

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Amethi provides admission to four Ph.D programmes. The duration of Ph.D programmes is 6 years.

• Candidates seeking admission to the RGIPT Amethi PhD programme must meet the eligibility criteria.

• Candidates have to appear for a written entrance test conducted by the institution.
