Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune is a private management institute which was established in the year 1978. SIBM Pune is a constituent institute of Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune.

SIBM Pune Scholarships and Eligibility Criteria
Scholarship | SIBM Pune Scholarship Eligibility Criteria |
Post Graduate (MBA) scholarship for IIT Graduates | Fee waiver is given to the candidates, provided the student joins the M.B.A programme after making it in the merit list after clearing the entrance exam (SNAP) and GE PIWAT process. 5 candidates are chosen based on the total composite score (SNAP + GE PIWAT score). If two candidates have the same score, then the student with the higher SNAP score will qualify for the scholarship. The maximum fee waiver in the first year of the M.B.A programme would amount to 20% of the academic fee alone (not including the induction programme fee, hostel and mess fee). For the waiver to continue for the second year of the M.B.A programme, the candidate should not have any backlogs (internal or external) and must have at least 7 out of 10 CGPA at the end of Semester II. The maximum fee waiver for the second year of the M.B.A programme would amount to 20% of the academic fee alone (not including the induction programme fee, hostel and mess fee). |
International Scholarship | Candidates must hold a valid foreign passport. Candidates should have obtained more than 75% as a qualifying grade in the 12th standard. Have obtained more than 60% as a qualifying grade in Graduation (in the case of postgraduate programmes). Candidates should have appeared for an English Proficiency Test conducted by the British Council (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6 or the IELA Test with a minimum band of 3. Candidates must meet the specific eligibility criteria (if any) of the desired programme. |
NER Scholarships for students from North-East Region | Candidates should have appeared for the SET/SNAP/any other entrance exam of SIU and secured admission on merit to the programmes for which scholarships are awarded. NER Scholarships are only for candidates bearing domicile certificates of any of the eight states of NER. Candidates must obtain at least 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade in case of SC/ST) at the 12th standard or equivalent examination. Candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade in case of SC/ST) at graduation as a qualifying grade in Graduation (in the case of postgraduate programme). Candidates must meet the specific eligibility criteria (if any) of the desired programme of the institute. |

The Hostel and Campus are at different locations as we are currently in the transit campus. Both the campus and hostel facilities are up to the mark. The hostel as well as the campus is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, canteens, classroom with e learning facilities etc.

As of now the college have its permanent campus but there is Classes are well-equipped with whatever it needs to be. Hostel is the place which seems like home away from the home. There is separate playgrounds for games like volleyball, football, cricket and badminton.

Coming to your question, NO you cannot get admission into Symbiosis without giving the SET. The admission will only be provided through the entrance exam conducted by the university. Other than this there is no other way. So, you need compulsorily give this exam.
