Academics
Since the beginning of our semester, the faculty members of our department have been very helpful to us, they assisted us greatly in choosing our specialization by mentoring us for the same.
They teach in a way that you would enjoy the lectures. The course curriculum is relevant to everyone, and suggestions from the senior students help design the course, and we're given training to use everything necessary.
College Infra
The infrastructure of the campus is excellent, giving it a vibrant and scenic ambiance typical of UPES in the hill station of Dehradun. The campus provides good facilities and has a dedicated cleaning staff. However, the Wi-Fi can be somewhat problematic at times. There are various indoor and outdoor games available for students. Various events took place our campus on weekly basis. Proper hygiene is maintained in canteen and cafeteria.
Campus Life
So much to explore, and the place where it is situated is very beautiful.
Placements
Companies like Combolt, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, IBM, FIS, LTI, HeadStart, Moglix, Birlasoft, etc., visited our college for placements drives.
Companies which visit here for placements provide students with a chance to get placed, and also the process of selection completely justifies the selection of students.
In our senior batch almost 90% of students get placed and most of them are placed in top MNC's.
Value For Money
My college fees is around 15 lacs for whole course.
This college provide me the best value for my money.

college infrastructure is pretty amazing and is very attractive to see because there is a lot of greenery in boyth the campuses.
secondly all the equipments provided in our labs are of high quality making it more knowlegable.
Placements
placements are pretty decent
some are high while some do struggle a bit to get the right job but it all at the end depends on the skills that one developes

The faculty is supportive and they are helping us a lot to get into our desired jobs and to easily crack the interview
The curriculum is updated as well and it does includes most of the developments in my field

The college is pretty clean and well maintained
There are equipments provided
Projectors help us grasp quick because of the visual representations
And the living spaces and food is clean and hygienic as well.

Placements matter a lot and according to the history of placements in upes as the last year the highest package in my course was 30 lakh so may be this year it can cross it and reach 50 lakh probably

The hostel fees of school of computer science University of petroleum and energy studies is 1.57 lacs per year. The hostel fees can rise up to 1.98 lacs per annum according to the number of facilities you choose. This includes the mess fees as well. There are various other facilities as well provided to the students. These facilities are internet, 24 hours electricity and water supply. Power backup system is also there. The hostel rooms are distributed on sharing and single basis. The hostel also provides cooler facilities water purifier, geyser etc.

what kind of scholarships are offered by the college for pursuing btech
Hi Aparna, there are a variety of scholarships offered by colleges in different regions. Based upon the quota that they have could be primarily SC-ST quota, Minority quota, Females from a financially weak background and so on. To apply for these scholarships, they demand for some legal documents such as OBC certificate and so on.
