The National Institute for the Research in Tuberculosis NIRT started in the year 1956 established at Chennai Tamil Nadu. Located at the No.1, Mayor Sathiyamoorthy Road, Chetpet, the affiliated college has been in dealing with tuberculosis for more than six decades. NIRT has the provision for offering seven doctoral programs with specializations in different medical sciences to give focus on research and education.
