TIFR Mumbai students get fellowships according to rules governed by DAE. Currently, TIFR Mumbai students get Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 28,000 per month for the students before and after the Ph.D. registration respectively. All the TIFR Mumbai scholarships come from DAE. Hostels are good. Everyone is provided with a single sharing room. The rooms are excellent, with an attached bathroom and a balcony as well. We are a small group of students hence we have only 3 classrooms and a computer lab. Wi-Fi is available everywhere on the campus. Food is not that great but fine. Food is quite affordable with respect to Bangalore standards.
The infrastructure of National centre for biological sciences coming under the tata institute of fundamental research having a good infra with all the necessary facilities available in the campus.The institute is known for research work and laboratories are good.

See in general, if one have 50% marks in the TIFR GS examination, then its quite confirmed that the student will get a call for the interview. Now every year, the difficulty of the paper change for different subjects and as a result, the cutoff changes. So nothing for sure can't be provided, although you have moderate chances to get the interview call.
