Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, also known as CSJM University, is a state-run public university based in the Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Its campus area of 264 acres is the house to all its academic, administrative and hostel blocks. The university was established back in 1996 when Agra university was split into two parts: Agra University and Kanpur University. The institute is approved by the UGC and is also accredited by the B grade by the NAAC. The university prides itself in being one of the largest universities in Asia which strives to provide its students with quality higher education in a plethora of professional and academic courses. The courses spread in many fields including engineering, law, commerce, management, medicine, computer applications, biotechnology, science and arts among various others. About 274 colleges are affiliated with CSJM University.
Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University Scholarships
The institute provides the students with a lot of scholarships based on merit and other factors that help the students to pursue their higher education without any financial burden. The economically weak and meritorious students can benefit from such scholarships. Along with the university scholarships, all state and national level scholarships are also available, and the eligible students can register for those scholarships accordingly.
● The students whose annual parental income is low can avail a scholarship of about 25 to 50 per cent of their annual fee depending upon the annual income of the family from all sources. For this, the students have to produce an income certificate which must be issued by the Magistrate or the Tehsildar.
● Meritorious students can also benefit from many scholarship offers. Those with a minimum marks aggregate of 60 per cent or have a CPI of 6.5 out of 10 in the previous qualifying exam or degree are liable to get merit-based scholarships with a financial reward based on the university policy that year. Also, the students need to have no indiscipline complaint filed against them and have to maintain an attendance of a minimum of 75% and produce an attendance record certificate with the institute.
The students are selected for the scholarships by the University Committee which comprises the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, the Dean of the Students Welfare. This committee is formed every year. But for the merit-based scholarships, the last call is of the Vice-Chancellor of the university who sanctions the merit-based scholarships.

Good infrastructure, and good environment and student friendly, proper food and hygiene is maintained and fees is also reasonable.all the facilities are available in university campus. A massive library is also available.
