Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, mathematics as compulsory subjects and (Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or technical Vocational course) and (45% for candidate of backward class categories and persons with disabilities, candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only)
Passed Diploma course in Engineering & Technology with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of backward class category & persons with disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only)
For Direct Second-Year Lateral Entry:
Passed Diploma course in Engineering & Technology with at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks in case of backward class category & persons with disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only) in appropriate branch of Engineering & Technology from All India Council for Technical Education or central or state government approved institution or its equivalent.
Passed B.Sc Degree from recognized University as defined by UGC & obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% in case of backward class category & persons with disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only) & Passed HSC with Mathematics subject provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of engineering graphics/Engineering drawing & Engineering Mechanic of the first year Engineering program along with the second year subject.
(i) should be a citizen of India;
(ii) should have Passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least forty five per cent marks (at least forty per cent marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to the Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
Or
(iii)Should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship as one of the subject and obtained at least forty five per cent marks (at least forty per cent marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to the Maharashtra State only).
