About National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Agartala
National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) is an autonomous body of the Department of Information Technology (DIT), Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Govt. of India inaugurated in 2009. NIELIT Agartala is affiliated with Tripura University and approved by AICTE. The NIELIT Agartala Centre is the 11th Centre of NIELIT (formerly DOEACC Society) in the country and the 5th in the North-Eastern Region. NIELIT Agartala offers both formal and non-formal courses at different levels and streams of IECT.
Courses include Diploma in Computer Science and Technology, Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Bachelor of Computer Application, and M.Sc. Information Technology. Candidates need to check the NIELIT Agartala eligibility criteria before appling for the NIELIT courses. NIELIT Agartala Admissions 2024: National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology Agartala offers Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate courses. NIELIT offers both formal and non- formal courses. The NIELIT courses include Diploma in Engineering in Computer Science & Technology, Engineering in Electronics & Tele-Communication Engineering, Bachelor of Computer Application, M.Sc.(Information Technology).
The NIELIT Agartala admissions are offered in more than 22 centres. Before applying for NIELIT admissions the candidate should appear for the NIELIT entrance examination for non-formal long-term courses. NIELIT Aagartala courses are based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination. For formal courses, admissions are based on the candidate’s academic merit. Eligible candidates can apply for admission to their desired course at NIELIT.

NIELIT 2024 Application Procedure: Formal courses
Eligible candidates can apply for admission to their desired courses by visiting the student portal.
The applicant should fill out the application form in online mode
Create a new account by using mail and contact number, by clicking ‘New User’ button.
The candidate should upload the necessary documents & photograph .
Then the applicant should pay the NIELIT application fee.
Submit the application form successfully after reviewing the details.
NIELIT Admissions 2024: Formal courses
NIELIT offers a variety of formal courses in different fields, with a duration of 3 years for its Diploma courses. Admission to these courses is based on the candidate’s academic merit in their previous qualifying examination. For Diploma in Engineering and BCA, candidates have to apply online or offline with their academic details and submit the NIELIT application form free of cost. The NIELIT Agartala will release the merit list and invite the selected candidates for counselling. For M.Sc IT, candidates have to apply online with their graduation marks and appear for an entrance exam conducted by the institute. The NIELIT Agartala will publish the merit and selection lists based on the entrance exam scores. For NIELIT O/A/B/C levels, candidates have to register online with NIELIT and appear for the respective examinations conducted by NIELIT. To be eligible for admission, candidates must meet the specified eligibility criteria:
