Lilawati Devi Mahavidyalaya, Deoria, was established in 2013 as an affiliated college at Haraiya, Sohanaria, Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. This is an NCTE-approved institution that runs teacher education programmes. The college has a campus area of 2.5 acres. Total student strength is 649. The faculty strength is 32. The institution runs five regular degree courses: Lilawati Devi Mahavidyalaya for budding educators with a view to elementary and secondary education. 

The institution has in its array numerous amenities helping in augmenting the learning processes and the overall development of its students. Both the above programmes are two-year regular courses, adding up to a total of 200 seats in both. And other courses are BA, B.Com, and B.Sc. The courses of the college are framed and orientated to enable the students to acquire necessary competencies and knowledge, thereby enabling them to become effective teachers at a variety of levels within the education system.

The course is based on the merit of the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. In the case of the D.El.Ed course, it is by merit from the qualifying examination and/or entrance test.
