Amala College of Nursing, Thrissur was started in the year 2005 and it is one of the leading college providing nursing education. The annual intake to the B.Sc Nursing is 50 and to each of the M.Sc Nursing specialisations in Medical Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing, Paediatric Nursing and Community Health Nursing is 5. The college also offers Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing on full time and part time basis.
