The Instructional Design programme will assist a candidate to understand the concept of instructional design and utilise multimedia and technology as instruments to strengthen teaching. This Instructional Design programme allows candidates to gain an understanding of the history and evolution of instructional design, models and modes of instructionals design, the design and development of e-learning materials the concepts and characteristics of teaching material design and production, the different competencies and skills in instructional design and the role of teachers as instructional designers.
This Instructional Design programme is part of the authorised university level Master in Education (M.Ed.) curriculum. Candidates at any stage of teacher education and professional teachers from various departments can enrol for the programme. This will cause all the ideas of instructional design to be mastered. Candidates will learn and understand the production of instructional experiences through the programme, which makes the gaining of knowledge and skills more successful, productive and attractive.

Certification Qualifying Details
For certification procedure there will be an internal assessment as well as external exam for the Instructional Design programme. For certification, 30 marks for internal assessment and 70 marks for external exam will be allocated.
