About IIIT Delhi
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi was established in 2008 by an act of the Delhi Government. IIIT Delhi is a state university and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
IIIT Delhi offers courses in the streams like Engineering and Architecture, Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and Sciences. The courses offered by IIIT Delhi are B.Tech at UG level, M.Tech at PG level and Ph.D.
IIIT Delhi grants admissions to students based on their performance in various entrance examinations like JEE Mains for B.Tech, UCEED for B.Tech in Computer Science and Design (CSD) and GATE scores for M.Tech and Ph.D students. IIIT Delhi also conducts its own PG CAT examination for PG admissions.
IIIT Delhi also provides a number of government as well as private scholarships to meritorious students based on needs. As a state university, IIIT Delhi provides relaxation in cutoff marks to students from Delhi region as well as those belonging to reserved categories.
Several courses at IIT Delhi (both B.Tech and M.Tech) achieved more than 90% placements. A total of 144 companies visited IIIT Delhi for the batch of 2024. 548 full time offers were made along with 129 internship offers. The highest package offered in 2024 placements of IIIT Delhi was of Rs 49.00 Lakhs for overseas and Rs 95.16 Lakhs for among those placed within India.

IIIT Delhi offers several scholarships to meritorious students based on their needs in order to provide them with financial support for funding their studies. Major IIIT Delhi scholarships include Pankaj Jalote Laptop Scheme, Kartikeya Gupta Memorial Scholarship, Chairman’s Scholarship, ASPIRE Scholarship and so on. IIIT Delhi Admission
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi admissions 2025 are available for courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The IIIT Delhi admission 2025 to most of the B.Tech courses is based on the performance of the candidate in the JEE Main entrance examination. IIIT Delhi admissions 2025 to B.Tech CSD and CSSS are also accepted on the basis of UCEED marks or the performance in the qualifying exam respectively.
IIIT Delhi M.Tech and Ph.D admissions will be based on the scores obtained in the GATE examination or a separate PG CAT examination conducted by IIIT Delhi itself. Candidates are also required to clear an additional interview round before receiving a confirmed admission offer from IIIT Delhi. The details of IIIT Delhi application and admission process for various courses for the upcoming session 2025 are given below.

Candidates must visit the IIIT Delhi official website.
Candidates applying through JEE Mains score must apply through the JAC portal.
Candidates applying through UCEED rank or Class 12th marks must apply through the IIIT Delhi admission portal.
Applicants must carefully scan and upload all the necessary documents.
Candidates must then submit the IIIT Delhi application form after payment of IIIT Delhi application fees. IIIT Delhi application fees are non-refundable.
IIIT Delhi UG Admissions 2025
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi offers 8 courses at the undergraduate level. The IIIT Delhi B.E/B.Tech courses are offered for 4 year duration in offline full-time mode only. IIIT Delhi B.Tech admissions 2025 will be offered on the basis of fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria as well as the performance in the JEE Mains or UCEED exam. The candidates seeking IIIT Delhi B.Tech CSD admissions 2025 must appear for and qualify JEE Mains or UCEED.
The candidates applying for IIIT Delhi B.Tech admissions 2025 for CSSS must appear for and qualify JEE Mains. Some seats will also be filled based on the performance of the candidate in Class 12th provided the candidate is not eligible for JEE Mains.
IIIT Delhi B.Tech admissions 2025 for the remaining specialisations will be done based on the performance of the candidate in JEE Mains.
The candidates qualifying JEE Mains examination must apply and attend Joint Admission Counselling (JAC). The seats will be allotted to the candidates.

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi offers 4 main courses at the postgraduate level each in the fields of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Computational Biology (CB) and a research based M.Tech in CSE. IIIT Delhi M.Tech admissions also offer admissions to a research based programme in CSE. IIIT Delhi M.Tech courses are for a duration of 2 years each and are to be pursued in full-time mode only.

IIIT Delhi M.Tech Admission Process 2024
The candidates must meet IIIT Delhi M.Tech admission eligibility criteria.
Candidates must fill the online application form for IIIT Delhi M.Tech admissions 2025 via the official website.
For admissions to M.Tech CSE, the candidates must appear and qualify GATE examination or the offline entrance examination PG CAT conducted by IIIT Delhi.
For the admissions in M.Tech ECE and M.Tech CB, the candidates must appear and qualify the GATE examination. In case the candidates have not appeared for the GATE, admissions will be done in 2 stages. In the first stage, initial screening will be done based on the performance of the candidate in the qualifying exam and some of them will be selected for the second stage for an online interview.
Candidates who qualify IIIT Delhi GATE cutoff 2025 or the PG CAT cutoff will be required to appear in an interview.
Seats will be allotted based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance examination or qualifying examination and interview.
IIIT Delhi M.Tech admission process will be completed after submission and verification of the necessary documents and payment of the IIIT Delhi M.Tech fees.

IIIT Delhi Ph.D Admission Process 2025
Candidates interested in applying for IIIT Delhi Ph.D admissions 2025 must submit an online application through IIIT Delhi official website.
IIIT Delhi Ph.D admissions 2025 will be granted in three forms — Rolling admissions, Regular admissions and Sponsored admissions.
Candidates applying through rolling admissions are required to seek prior approval of the faculty member they wish to work under before applying.
A sponsored candidate has to submit a Sponsoring Certificate on proper letter-head stating that for the period of his/her studies in the programme, the candidate would be treated as on duty and that he/she will be allowed to take courses at IIIT-Delhi and conduct research.
All the candidates (Rolling, Regular or Sponsored) need to fill the online application form and pay the non-refundable.
Based on their applications, academic credentials, statement of purpose, CV and other details candidates will be invited for a written test and/or interview.
Only those candidates who have cleared the written test will be invited for the interview round.

IIIT-D has state of art IT tools for communication & computation needs within the institute, supported by fast, reliable & rugged 500+ node computer network. The institute has more than 100 laptops issued to its faculty, staff and students. The institute has 91 printers and scanners to provide printing and other facilities. In order to facilitate proper teaching aid, all classrooms here are equipped with projectors and audio systems. All the hostels, faculty blocks, administrative block, library, classrooms and residences, are connected through redundant 10 gigabit fiber backbone network. All the blocks are connected through layer 2 & 3 switches to provide 1Gbps connectivity at the user end. Every hostel room has a dedicated LAN connection to provide round the clock access to resources on the net. Wireless network with 92 access points is also enabled in the faculty block, library, classrooms and hostel blocks.
