Sai School of Engineering and Technology, Palampur, referred to by the abbreviation SSET, is a constituent college in Palampur town of Himachal Pradesh. Situated in the Dhauladhar region, this institution provides programmes in the field of engineering at the B. Tech and M. Tech levels. This institute has recognition from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which makes it fulfil the requisite norms of the country’s technical education system; SSET is its name. The college has a total faculty of 21 members who are well devoted towards shaping the young generation towards engineering.

The Taiwanese campus of the Sai School of Engineering and Technology is arranged to offer students a proper environment for learning. The college provides various amenities that would meet the students’ needs as well as their co-curricular activities. The library is well-endowed with different types of books and journals and meets the research and other requirements of the students of various disciplines. In terms of endowment, SSET offers computer-aided facilities, especially in electronics and computer sciences laboratories. IT infrastructure comprises 60 DELL ALL-IN-ONE PCs with internet connections to help the students acquire up-to-date technological and online resources. The college also has an auditorium for conducting programmes and seminars, which adds energy to the college campus.

SSET provides a total of 10 courses of study and has laid down the following five B.Tech and two M.Tech courses. The B.Tech programmes include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Civil Engineering. Currently at the postgraduate level, the institutes offer M.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering.

In the case of Sai School of Engineering and Technology, most of the time students are offered admission based on their performance. B.Tech programmes are conducted separately, and admissions are offered as per JEE Main or HPCET scores. The remaining seats are booked as per the merit of the 10+2 standard. Lateral admission is also available for students at the college who meet the relevant criteria for admission. M.Tech programmes are offered after the candidate has cleared the GATE/state-level test, while the remaining seats are filled according to the B.Tech score.
