GVM’s Gopal Govind Poy Raiturcar College of Commerce and Economics, Farmagudi started in 1986, situated in Ponda, Goa. This affiliated college is affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and provides many courses of commerce and computer applications at the UG and PG level. Location: The college occupies a 3.706 acres of land and students’ enrolment is 799, while number of faculty members is 37. It has 4 course in total taught under 3 degree programs offering specialisation in commerce and computer application. The college has a good number of boys and girls in equal percentage 52% boys while 48% girls, all the students belong to state.

In the case of B.Com and M.Com (Self Finance) admissions are done as per the merit lists prepared by the college. The BCA (Self Finance) programme has the condition that students have to undergo an entrance test. For the M.Com program there is nether any state level or national level entrance test, instead the university grants admission purely on merit derived from GU-ART.
