Government PG College Tonk was established in 1952. Government PG College Tonk is an UGC and State Government of Rajasthan recognised institute. The college is also recognised as one of the Modal College in Rajasthan. 

Government PG College Tonk is accredited with Grade B+ by NAAC. The college is affiliated with Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University of Ajmer.
