The Bangalore School of Visual Arts Evening, Bengaluru (BSVA Evening) is a renounced art education institute which focuses on the fine art education in the center of Karnataka. This co-educational affiliated college was founded in 2018; it is installed in a small area of 3.24 acres of land at Art Complex, Kumara Krupa Road, Bengaluru. Departed from BSVA Evening, offers 6 courses 2 degrees in visual arts programs. It is worth mentioning that 70 students study in the institute, and 11 faculty members, which designates a comfortable ratio of students to teachers for proper individual attention and guidance.
BSVA Evening is continued with its goal of ensure the student get the best learning environment possible. This is with an aim of boosting the learning environment as follows; Students get to fully equipped studio leveled based on the different branches of art for practice and practical purposes. The college library is also a worthy resource, which contains a vast reading collection of books, journals and references, focusing in visual arts and art history. Pretty much everything can be obtained here which is definitely helpful in the holistic development: In regard to physical fitness, there are sports complex to balance education. The campus also has an auditory which is useful for art performances, seminars and cultural shows and exhibitions. A canteen fulfills the gastronomical requirements of the students and faculty of the university, and health center that includes first aid services guarantee the state of health of the campus inhabitants. The college adopted the contemporary approaches in learning and the college has installed modern education IT support; the college has a guest house where the faculty and students’ family is accommodated.
The institute provides a total of 6 courses, and all the courses are full time courses. There is one undergraduate course, the Bachelor of Visual Arts (BVA), which takes 4 years, and five postgraduate courses within the Master of Visual Arts (MVA) framework that takes 2 years each. The MVA specializations are Painting, Applied Art, Sculpture, Graphic Art and Art History. These diverse programs encompass different interests and possibilities of developing career in visual arts sphere.
The admission process of BSVA Evening aims to search for talents in art. For admission into both BVA and MVA, the college administers an entrance examination to the students. This assessment is structured in three parts: The AS level course includes a written test, a practical examination, and an oral test.
